The measuring tool can be used to identify the distance between two points of a geometrical node (the vector coordinate) within the viewer.
To make use of this feature one must first have load a project into the Verifi3D viewer. This can be a .v3d or a BIM 360 project that contains one or multiple federated models.
Once the models have been loaded into the viewer select the "measuring tool" as seen within the "toolbar menu".
The "measuring tool" is the last button with the "toolbar menu" as is represented by a ruler. Once clicked upon you will be able to see three types of icons appearing depending on where you plan to have the starting point of the measurement.
1) Square - Indicated a corner.
2) Triangle - Indicates a midpoint.
3) Circle - Indicates a plane.
4) Vertex - Indicates an edge.
Hence to use the measuring tool just click on the point you want to start measuring from and click once again with the viewer to indicate the ending point. Once the measurement has been registered the distance will be highlighted within the viewer on the model and in the "Measuring Line UI".
